Everyone’s brain is wired a little differently. And while it may be normal to occasionally experience some lack of clarity, inattention or restlessness during our daily lives, there are many who struggle with these experiences more often and to a greater degree than others.
An inability to focus, be settled, problems associated with ADHD, and feeling mentally alert during the day especially becomes an issue when it interferes with our ability to perform our jobs, and for children as they try to excel and fit in at school. Attentivite AM — Daytime Formula Benefits by Ingredient
BACOPA MONNIERI
- Maintains healthy brain chemistry

Bacopa is a well-known herb frequently used in Ayurvedic traditional medicine and is widely studied as part of herbal preparations to improve memory and intelligence. Clinical studies suggest that bacopa may improve learning rate, ability to process data/information, retention of learned facts and memory. Over a 4-week period, bacopa was shown to reduce nervousness and irritability in humans diagnosed with anxiety. Bacopa helps the elderly as well. In a patient population whose average age was 62, bacopa was shown to improve working memory/recall, and improve attention as well as cognitive processing.
PHOSPHATIDYLSERINE
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a nutrient building block for cell membranes that are especially concentrated in the brain’s nerve cells. It covers and protects the cells in your brain and carries messages between them, playing an important role in keeping your mind and memory sharp. Phosphatidylserine also helps to improve attention, calm behavior, and the ability to cope with stress.
SAFFRON EXTRACT
Saffron (stigma, 2% safranal) is an impressive botanical known in traditional medicine and backed by growing science for its’ neuroprotective effect and mood balance. Saffron, and its’ key constituents crocin and crocetin, have been clinically studied for evidence of improving positive mental outlook, nervous system health, lessening oxidant stress levels, and increased brain dopamine levels.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
Vitamin C is the most prevalent water-soluble antioxidant in the human body and plays a major role in protective mechanisms for heart health.

Well known for its immune protecting abilities, studies also link high vitamin C intake with improved mental function. A deficiency of vitamin C reduces production of neurotransmitters associated with anxiety. In a 2015 study, researchers demonstrated that vitamin C can reduce stress/anxiety in students, and high school students demonstrated not only reduced anxiety levels, but reduced heart rates as well.
Vitamin D3
Research has shown that vitamin D deficiency is more common in people experiencing a lack of attention, and that vitamin D supplementation improves cognitive function, focus, over activity, and impulsivity. A 2018 study helped clarify the mechanism responsible for lower vitamin D levels, as it revealed that children with lower vitamin D levels, also had lower vitamin D receptor levels. Recent research has also suggested that vitamin D may have an impact on dopamine levels in the brain. Vitamin D supplementation improves cognitive function, and inattention.
Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (PLP) – metabolically active form of vitamin B-6
Clinical science has shown that adequate levels of vitamin B, particularly B6, can increase alertness and decrease anxiety-like symptoms. Signs of B-6 deficiency include:
- Difficulty concentrating
- Short-term memory loss
- Nervousness & Irritability

- Supports healthy homocysteine levels (HCY; elevated HCY levels are associated with cognitive decline and performance

IRON
Recent studies have found an association between inattention and iron deficiency.4 Children with more severe iron deficiencies experience more severe signs and is predictive of social and behavioral problems in adolescence. Based on clinical findings, there is evidence that higher levels of iron supplementation are effective and well tolerated.
MAGNESIUM
Magnesium levels are shown to be lower in children who show signs of inattention. In one study, 50 children who were also deficient in magnesium, were studied for the impact of 200 mg of elemental magnesium supplementation over a six-month period. Compared to the children who did not receive magnesium supplementation, they developed higher levels of magnesium in their hair, which was accompanied by a significant improvement in focus.

ATTENTIVITE PM — Nighttime Formula Benefits by Ingredient
L-THEANINE
L-theanine is an amino acid that has a calming effect and is used to improve cognitive and mental performance. Alpha-wave predominance in the brain is associated with a state of relaxation, and theanine supplementation produces a shift toward more alpha-wave production within 40 minutes of taking it at amounts of 50 to 200 mg. The effects are known to last up to eight hours. A double-blind, placebo-controlled study on boys that failed to pay attention or had periods of occasional sleeplessness demonstrated that L-theanine significantly increases sleep efficiency as well as time spent asleep.
MELATONIN
The role of melatonin is to help the body know when it’s time for sleep and when it is time to wake up. Melatonin is a pineal gland hormone that has been studied for decades in people who have occasional sleeplessness, delayed sleep onset, and nighttime awakening issues. One study showed that when children took melatonin supplements at bedtime, were able to fall asleep faster and experience additional health and behavioral benefits. However, once the melatonin was discontinued, the children’s sleep and behavioral problems returned.

GRAPE SEED EXTRACT (95% Anthocyanidins)
Grape seed extract is one of the most potent antioxidant nutrients from a plant source providing excellent protection against oxidative stress and free radical-driven tissue damage—and so much more. Based on proper extraction methods being used, a pro-anthocyanidin grape seed extract is highly bioavailable and provides greater protection against free radicals and damage to cell membranes and DNA than vitamins C and E, both singly and in combination.
LEMON BALM EXTRACT
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) has been used in traditional medicines as sleep-inducing, anti-occasional-anxiety, and memory-enhancing nutrient. Human trials have provided scientific evidence for the impact of lemon balm, demonstrating its ability to improve mood, reduce stress, and help induce sleep. For instance, one study that investigated the impact of lemon balm extract over a 15-day period found that occasional anxiety was reduced in 70% of the study participants and occasional sleeplessness was reduced in 85% of the participants.
